Stretch- To be extended, or to bear extension, without breaking, as elastic or ductile substances. To pull, draw out or strain muscles and/or tendons.

Purpose of Stretching- is to warm up the muscle, sending blood and oxygen to muscles, fibers, tissues. Stretching improves flexibility, which is required in almost all physical activities. Stretching before exercise is said to greatly reduce muscle injuries, sprains, pulled muscles, etc.

As a point guard for the Manhattan College basketball team I am always on the move and feeling sore after the game. I use the Accu-Stretch before my games to loosen up and after the games to help me recover faster. The trainers don’t always have time to stretch me so I love that I can do PNF stretching on my own.

 

As catcher for the Manhattan College baseball team I am constantly squatting and I have been suffering from chronic pain from tightness in my IT band.
